Los Angeles Clippers (40-42) Fourth in the Pacific Division
Core: The Clippers, who experienced a deep run in the playoffs in 2006, failed to make the playoffs this season, and may need to re-evaluate what they have heading into the future. PF Elton Brand is their building block, but things get fuzzy after that. Big man Chris Kaman is grossly overpaid, PG Sam Cassell is on his last leg, and his protégé, Shaun Livingston, is rehabbing from a major knee injury that has him sidelined until at least the All-Star break of 2008. SG Cuttino Mobley is an average SG at best, and SF Corey Maggette is on the trading block.
