Lottery Team Makeovers; Seattle SuperSonics

Seattle SuperSonics (31-51) Fifth in the Northwest Division

Core: This team isn’t too far off from competing at a high level again. I’m not convinced that Kevin Durant is going to come in and take the league by storm like some NBA writers. He will be an All-Star someday, but it could take a year or two for him to really start to excel. In the meantime, keeping SG Ray Allen is a smart idea. SF Rashard Lewis opted out of his contract and will be a free agent July 1st. Read the rest of this entry »

Lottery Team Makeovers; New York Knicks

New York Knicks (33-49) Fourth in the Atlantic Division

Core: The Knicks have always had some nice talent on their roster, but most people aren’t too sure it’s the right talent. Stephon Marbury, who hasn’t won in the ten years he’s been in the league, is a very talented point guard. SG Jamal Crawford is a nice athletic wing player, as is Jared Jeffries. PF Channing Frye and C Eddie Curry are two nice young big men with loads of upside; however, aren’t among the top players at their position yet. Read the rest of this entry »
